Bag it up and Take it to Go . . . .

Pheew! What a whirlwind around here these past few weeks!

I've been trying to get ready for Brimfield, and it's taking me so much longer than usual, hobbling around sometimes with cane, sometimes sans cane. My GD ankle swelling will not subside, but I won't let it get me down! I've gotta take alot of breaks, and I sometimes feel like I'm 83 not 53, but this too shall pass, and I'm thankful that I can even GET to Brimfield! I usually take a day to go up and shop the fields on my own, before I set up at J & J, but this year, I just don't think I can handle it. Amazing what a broken leg & ankle full of metal plates & screwed-up screws can do to mess up your plan! I always love doing Brimfield, especially in May, and Sistadoggie will be my official assistant for this show and we always have fun together :)

If you plan on being at Brimfield, come by our booth (D29) at J & J Promotions next Friday and Saturday, May 13 & 14. Look for the triple flag bunting and that's where we'll be! Always fun to meet some cyber-peeps in person!

In other news, our Rachel is graduating from  The University of Connecticut on Sunday (Happy Mother's Day to me!) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English & History. It's going to be a beautiful day! She is very excited to be closing one chapter and onto another in her life. She's been accepted into an internship program for secondary education at Sacred Heart University and will be moving back home in a few short weeks. The internship program is very labor intensive, she'll be working in a school system all day Monday through Friday and then attending classes in  the evenings. She's starting classes next month and if all goes according to plan, will graduate with her Master's Degree in a little less than a year and a half.  It will be strange having her home again, but she's gonna be busy . . . it's all good ~ so proud of her!

I'll be MIA for a bit with Brimfield coming up next week, so I thought I'd post a little MONDAY MORNING CROCHET today, rather than Monday.  I love love LOVE this bit of adorable-ness!

Super-de-duper easy and works up quickly. I lined mine with a pre quilted red fabric and gave it a dotty pocket pair & a vintage red button!

I got the red leather handles at a quilt show last year, but you can find more right here at Late Bloomer Quilts. I just ordered a few pair as I see more of this in my future ~ some with little calico flowers and polka dots. . . . too cute!

Wishing all of you Moms a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday. Take a moment to put your feet up and rest your eyes. It's the BEST medicine.

Talk Soon! xo P
