Chicken Feeders

I don't know about you guys, but we've had a wickedly hot summer here in Connecticut! So many of my flowers did not survive, despite the watering daily. We've still got plenty of greenery 'round here though, and I often bring the plants outside during the warmer weather to make the back deck a bit more homey. So, with that in mind, I've got a thing for chicken feeders. This one is my fave, from Purina with it's classic red & white check pattern ~ on galvanized tin, no less, doesn't get much better than that! When we had Rachel's graduation party here back in May, my brother, who owns chickens, was cracking up at my chicken feeder planters! You've gotta think outside the box on these things, bro! This weekend is shaping up to be a hot one, too! We'll be close to home ~ Becca will be here for the weekend, Rach is off and Brad, Kaitlyn and Kadence will be here for some R & R on Sunday. Other than that, we've got a surprise 50th Birthday Party for a friend, and just some grillin', baseball & time with my knitting needles ~ pure heaven . . . .
